SPRINGWELL, BIRTLEY, WARDLEY AND ACROSS GATESHEAD

Music lessons for schools in Gateshead.

Musical Mates Ltd has taught in Gateshead schools since 2011, from Springwell Village and Birtley to Wardley and Pelaw. We work with more than 70 North East schools in total, and were named The Best Music School in Durham 2026. Every teacher holds an enhanced DBS check, wears a Musical Mates photo ID badge and is observed twice a year.

Where we teach in Gateshead: primary schools and a secondary academy across Springwell Village, Birtley, Wardley and Pelaw.

Good to know: our lessons sit alongside Gateshead and South Tyneside Music Hub provision, and Pupil Premium can be used to subsidise lessons for disadvantaged pupils. A three-week trial lets you see a teacher in action before you commit.
